Biopolymers and biomaterials are becoming increasingly popular in many industries. They are environmentally friendly, non-toxic and recyclable materials for production of various goods. It is not surprising that the packaging industry is the dominant sector of their applications. Based on a report published by Global Market Insights, Inc., a biopolymer coatings market size, in 2015, was worth more than USD 750 million. It is estimated to surpass USD 1.3 billion by 2024, with a CAGR of more than 6% over 2016-2024.

This workshop is oriented towards companies active in the production of biopolymers and biomaterials and their processing into consumer goods, primarily packaging.

When: Thursday 12th of October

Where: Lodz University of Technology, International Faculty of Engineering, 36 Żwirki Street, Lodz, Poland
